Q: What geographic boundaries does the Birmingham Chapter cover?

A: The following counties: Jefferson, Shelby, Tuscaloosa, Blount, Walker and St. Clair counties.

 

Q: What philanthropic endeavors is the chapter involved with?

A: We sponsor a Reading Rally for elementary school children. We offer two scholarships one for high school juniors (EWISP) and one for adult students returning to school (ASSIST).

 

Q: Who holds the membership to EWI?

A: The firm holds the membership and will select an Executive and a Representative to attend the meetings and be involved with the organization.

 

Q: How many representatives can a firm have?

A: Firms can have up to three representatives in the chapter.

 

Q: Is membership guaranteed?

A: Membership is by invitation only. We go through a posting process to select firms for membership. If another firm opposes membership then the invitation will not be extended.

 

Q: How many meetings are held per year and what are the locations?

A: We have 12 chapter meetings each year at different locations around Jefferson County. We have an Annual Conference in different cities in the United States. We also have spring and/or fall conferences at different cities in the United States.

 

Q: Are there opportunities for Continuing Educational Credits?

A: Yes, we offer web seminars, classes at annual meeting that do qualify for Educational Credits.

 

Q: Do you guarantee any leads or increased business?

A: We are a networking organization and we do encourage using member firms, we cannot guarantee leads or increased business.

 

Q: How many firms are a part of this organization?

A: We have approximately 70 firms.
